Eaton, a lawyer, in 1852, and lived in ZanesvIlle, Ohio, for several years. They removed from there to Delaware, Ohio, where they now live, he being an insurance agent.

Mrs. Eaton received a good education and taught school for some time before her marriage; she is an artist of more than ordinary merit, and has given lessons in paint-

Grove N. Abbey resided in Glastonbury until about 1870, when he removed to Chicago, where he invested a large sum of money in goods just before the great fire there. His fortune was ail swept away by the fire, and he was left broken down in mind and body. After a long and painful Illness he died at Chicago, June 24, 1882. His widow resides there at 637 Washington Boulevard.

WIlliam L.7 son of Chauncey6 HoIllster and his first wife, Maria Osgood, was born in Palmyra, Wayne Co., Mich., June 25, 1838. He has always been an active business man, engaged in selling drugs, dry goods, and other merchandize, and is now a prosperous dealer in watches, diamonds, and jewelry at Battle Creek, Mich. He is a "firm believer in a Supreme Being and a life here­after," but not a "stickler for any set forms, and without a particle of superstition" in his make-up.

He married Maria A. Berry, Feb. 17, 1881; she is of English parentage, her parents settling in Battle Creek about 1855, and where she was born, April 18, 1857.

he is a son of Dam.el and Katherine Gilbert, and was born in Alexander, Genesee Co., N.Y.. Aug. 17, 1825. In early life he was employed on public works; he is now a farmer, and resides at Prospect HIll, Waukesha Co., Wis.; was elected to the Wisconsin State Legislature in 1879 and in 1880; was a member of the Waukesha County board of supervisors in 1881 and 1882; has held several other town offices. They have resided in Waukesha County since their marriage, with the exception of four years that they lived in.Joliet, m.Ill. Children:
