6.2.4.1. Informative practice



In the course of the informative practice the students visit the museums, exhibitions, libraries, and get acquainted with various arts (painting, sculpture, graphics), various artistic styles, decorative and applied arts and types of design. Completing the practice the students have to prepare in writing a paper (an essay) on some topic related to art or design. The work is evaluated with a grade (a graded test).

6.2.4.2. Practice on location

(studies in nature)

In the course of the practice on location the students produce short-term and long-term works,they draw and paint in different techniques: in pencil, in charcoal, sanguine, pastel, water-colour, gouache etc. The practical works are evaluated with a grade (a graded test).

6.2.4.3. Professional practice



For the professional practice

the students have to

choose an appropriate job placement in

harmony with their respective specialization

.



Before the professional practice the Institute makes a contract with the organization, structure or firm providing the job placement (see Appendix Nr. 2.1).

Commencing the professional practice the students receive a practice document – a student’s-on-practice diary. In this paper the students record all the assignments and works they are carrying out. The processes and the results of the activities during the practice are reflected in the diary, where the practice supervisor based on the review of the practical activities records his/her evaluation on the practice. The results of the processional practice are evaluated with a grade (graded test). The documentation related to the practice is kept at the Institute’s studies.

6.2.4.4. Archiving practice



During the archiving practice the students prepare for storage in the BRI archive and to be recorded in the archive’s catalogue the entire volume of the materials produced during the studies and practice. These works are meant to be used as methodical and teaching aids. In conclusion of the practice the students prepare an account of what was accomplished and prepare their portfolios made up of the works produced in the course of studies and practice. This is evaluated with a grade (a graded test).

6.2.4.5. Pre-diploma practice



Pre-diploma practice is a logical continuation of the professional practice; all the requirements and guidelines worked out for the professional practice are applicable here. During the practice the students gather the information and choose the preliminary direction and theme of the further diploma project.

Commencing the pre-diploma practice the students receive pre-diploma practice document – a student’s on practice diary. In this paper the students record all the assignments and works they are carrying out. Pre-diploma practice’s results are evaluated with a grade (a graded test). The documentation related to the practice is kept at the Institute’s studies department. (Regulations and the guidelines on the practice included in the study programme: see in the Appendix Nr. 2.2.)

6.3. Study programme division by semesters.

Digital visualization are divided by semesters for the full-time studies and part-time studies accordingly.

6.3.1. Full-time studies: division by semesters

Professional study programme’s Digital visualization full-time studies duration is 4 years (8 semesters).
